Application engineer – Paris, France

Alvéole has an exciting opportunity for an Application Engineer position to strenghten the team and actively participating in the worldwide development of Alvéole’s business. For this position, we are looking for a motivated individual with strong scientific background. You will be supervised by our Sales and Marketing Head.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Support sales team and distributors worldwide to promote Alveole technology by providing technical and scientific support on Primo
- Provide technical expertise during face-to-face qualification meetings as well as conference calls
- Perform hardware and software installation and provide application training for demo purpose and new clients
- Become the application and technical contact person for the installed Primo base’s users
- Manage the maintenance service and troubleshooting queries in a timely and professional manner
- Track and report activities within the Customer Relationship Management tool (Sales Force) according to internal procedures
- Optimize existing application workflows based on users’ feedback
- Carry out proof-of-concept experiments when required for clients’ needs
- Collaborate with the R&D team to design new applications and develop new protocols
- Co-develop sales and marketing materials including application notes and marketing presentations when required
- Actively participate, as other team members, in international scientific meetings, conferences, and exhibitions

Position Requirements:
- MSc or PhD in Biology, Biophysics, or related field
- First experience in the life sciences industry is a plus
- International work experience is highly valued
- Knowledge in cell biology, standard lab operations and awareness of microscopy techniques
- Well organized with ability to manage both, complex personal tasks, and teamwork
- Fluent verbal and written English
- Willingness to travel (~ 40 %) in Europe and sometimes in Asia
