As part of its expansion, Alvéole is looking for a Business development manager. For this position we are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong scientific background. Under the supervision of the Sales and Marketing Director, within the commercial operations team,
Your responsibilities are:
- Driving sales development, project monitoring, and account management across key European markets
- Managing the sales pipeline by accurately recording and updating project and customer data in the CRM system (Salesforce)
- Collaborating closely with application engineers to ensure the successful product demonstrations, sales, installations, and after-sales support
- Engaging in global lead generation initiatives through targeted prospecting campaigns
- Promoting company technology with product presentations, workshops, and active participation in conferences within your territory, including contributing to their planning and organization
- Contributing to new product launches through promotional campaigns
- Providing valuable field insights on products performance and market trends to feed innovation
- Working with R&D, marketing, and application teams to ensure alignment of commercial and technical objectives
Required skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a scientific audience
- Proven persuasive abilities to effectively convey the value and benefits of the technology to prospective clients
- Active listening skills to understand clients’ motivations and address their concerns
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, including deal tracking, client requirements, and internal project coordination
- A dynamic team player with a solution-driven mindset, capable of collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Position Requirements:
- Master’s level dual expertise in both sales and science, with knowledge in Biology, Biophysics, or a related field
- Initial experience in technical sales within the life sciences industry, demonstrating an understanding of complex scientific environments
- Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time across Europe, with occasional international trips
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
